Alon Ben Meir, a professor of political science at New York University and a Middle East analyst, reviewed the latest situation of the Syrian Kurds on his Twitter Page, describing it without a clear horizon. “The existence of the Syrian Kurds is threatened as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan considers the People’s Defense Units (YPG) a terrorist group,” he wrote in his account.
“No one can count on Trump, but other Western countries want to stop Turkey’s endless attacks on the Syrian Kurds,” Be Meir added.

It is worth mentioning that following the oil agreement of an American company with the PKK-affiliated self-government in northeastern Syria, many experts believe that the existence of the Syrian Kurds is in danger.
