Terrorism and violence, brainwashing and terrorist acts and extortion are some of trainings given to children in these groups.
Militant and armed groups in the Kurdish regions of Northern Iraq are known for recruiting children and teenagers. They not only do not deny this action, but also proudly publish the photos of their young members. Despite their claims of trying to assert the rights of Kurds in West Asia and defending the communities and the future of Kurdish children, actually they are destroying the future of Kurdish society by employing and sometimes kidnapping Kurdish children, they are given weapons instead of pens. Children should stay at home and study, but Kurdish groups have armed them. In fact, all the advantages of a normal life are reversed in these groups and they are responsible for the lives of these children. Also, using children under the age of 18 as military forces is against international conventions and rules and children’s rights.
Due to the lack of sufficient force, especially the lack of interest of adults, Kurdish militia forces fill their lack of force with child soldiers. One of these illegal and inhuman actions occurs regularly in the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran. Children are either tricked or kidnapped and transferred to the headquarters for military training. This group also proudly publishes pictures of its illegal activities. After every military tension, there is no news about the burial place of bodies, and practically the families do not have access to their children’s’ bodies.
Terrorism and violence, brainwashing and terrorist acts and extortion are some of trainings given to children in these groups. Many children have been victims, escaped or are still in their captivity. The target children are minors. The poverty and unemployment caused by these groups make the children be their prey because of money and work. These actions not only have disturbed the development of the Kurdish regions, but also will result in criminal punishment for the leaders.
The important question: “Children of ordinary Kurdish people in the mountains receive military training and are killed.” Where are the children of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran leaders?”
