With continuing the close cooperation of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), especially the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) with Turkey against the presence of members and headquarters of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and its branches, including PJAK in the KRG, especially among civilians in rural areas, The Turkish army is consolidating its fortifications day by day deep in the KRG.
In this regard, the Turkish army is stationed in the strategic heights of the Bradost region in Duhok province. This shows that the Turkish army is only 7 km away from the city of Sidakan. As a result of the PKK’s presence and its hiding in civilian areas and Turkish attacks, 4,000 hectares of natural resources, gardens and agriculture in the region have been burned.
It is said that there are more than 20 Turkish army barracks in the KRG. Many Kurdish experts believe that if Turkey and the Kurdistan Region continue to cooperate with the current trend, the PKK will surely be eradicated from the mountains of the region.
