A woman that was in the process of childbirth could not give birth to her baby, as PUK officials did not let the family’s car pass through Balisan road. The woman unfortunately did not make it to the hospital in time and has lost her baby.
Earlier yesterday, the road between Erbil and the Balisan area was closed off as tensions rose between KDP and PUK officials.
The family has told the prosecutors that as they were denied to use the main road, they have spent more than 5 hours in the car. Normally they would have arrived to the hospital within 1.5 hours. The prosecutors urged the family not to sue anyone.
