Following the cooperation of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and ISIS at various stages, this group affiliated to the PKK released 9 ISIS members.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is releasing ISIL members while the ISIL is resurging in Syria, citing “fighting” ISIL as the reason for its cooperation as an American ground force in Syria, and Western countries have helped it for this.
It is worth mentioning that the self-declared administration affiliated to the PKK has released more than 500 ISIS members in northern and northeastern Syria so far.
Many Syrian Kurds have strongly criticized the move by the Syrian Democratic Forces, saying the PKK, by doing so, endangers the security of civilians. On the other hand, the Patriotic Association of the Syrian Kurds (ENKS) also criticizes this force saying as the PKK releases ISIL prisoners, while it keeps dozens of Kurdish critics and dissidents in prison, and the fate of some is unknown.
