Reports indicate that an Iranian Kolbar was killed and another was injured under torture by Turkish forces. According to news sources, Turkish border guards “sexually and physically abused the two Kolbars and injured them with knives”. Turkish forces fired on Bahram Samadi and Hassan Kachalanloo. Hassan Kachalanloo was shot dead by Turkish border guards, and Samadi was tortured after being arrested. News sources report that Kochalanloo was a 35-year-old man and the father of three children. After returning to Iran, Bahram Samadi was hospitalized in Chaldoran and photos of a knife injuries on his body were published.
In response to this brutal act by the official Turkish government force, Saeed Khatibzadeh, spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced that border teams from the two countries were investigating the matter. However, he did not elaborate on the results of this study. It is worth mentioning that this is not the first case of such tragic events in the Kurdish regions of Iran, which has faced silence by various media and, of course, the Iranian government. For several years now, terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts and killing Kurds, extorting money from economic activists, destroying public and private property, abducting and deceiving Iranian children and adolescents, as well as extorting and threatening Kolbars. The Iranian media is often completely unaware of the issues and problems of the border and Kurdish areas. Weak oversight by the Iranian government, a lack of large-scale government investment in the Kurdish and border areas, and a low employment rate have led people to be Kolbar. We have to wait for the reaction of the Iranian government to this barbaric act. However, the history of silence and lack of follow-up still weighs heavily on similar cases. It should be noted that the Islamic Republic Radio and Television has not yet published any news or report in this regard.
